Tridents Suspension Lifted

Gentlemen

The appeal of the Miami Tridents RFC was held on 2nd March, 2004.

The Club suspension of six months was lifted, after the Tridents gave evidence that they were “putting their house in order” and willing to comply with the laws and etiquette of the game of rugby.

A proviso was stipulated that the Club are placed on a year’s probation from the date of the offence - 24th January, 2004. This was agreed upon by all parties.

The suspension of Gustavo Dipolito - CIPP # K113809, was lifted, as he had infact not received a red card during or after the game.

The suspension of the following two players was upheld:

Osvaldo ‘anibal Martini - CIPP # 173920
Threatening and striking at a referee
Suspended from any rugby activity for ten (10) years

Hernan Gonzalez - CIPP # 138822
Spitting on a referee
Suspended from any rugby activity for five (5) years.

Both suspensions started on 24th January, 2004.
